Amazfit just announced the new T-Rex Pro, and it is well-known for its ruggedness. Not just in looks, but in terms of how it is built. The watch is built with military-grade toughness and can sustain extreme situations and climates. In many ways, the T-Rex and the T-Rex Pro are similar – but there are a few notable differences.
Both the T-Rex and the T-Rex Pro meet the MIL-810G standard and they both are also able to sustain extreme heat of up to 70°C and as low as -40°C coldness. It also passes the 240 hours humidity test and 96 hours of salt spray test. I mean, if the one who’s wearing the watch is still alive – then the watch is going to work.
They’re both also at the same size too – at 47.7 x 47.7 x 13.5mm with the same 1.3-inch AMOLED screen that has 360×360 pixels in resolution – but circular in shape, of course.
Better temperature and weather resistance
The T-Rex Pro does have two more extra resistances – which are ice- and freezing rain-resistance. This means it’ll continue to work if you got out of a freezing pool of water below freezing point – but again, that’s a very extreme situation.
Better water resistance at higher pressure
One more difference is that the T-Rex Pro has water resistance of up to 10 atm underwater (about 100 meters), whereby the original T-Rex only has the standard 5 atm (about 50 meters). We can definitely wear the T-Rex Pro and go snorkeling without issues now, honestly.
More precise sports mode
The original T-Rex has about 14 sports modes – and that’s generally okay but since the T-Rex is made to handle the extremes, people are going to wear it to do extreme sports. That’s why Amazfit puts a total of more than 100+ sports modes into the T-Rex Pro, including extreme sports such as parkour, cross-country skiing, BMX, and many more.
This offers precise tracking and helps to improve your athletic performance – and that’s something that other watches can’t handle.
