Everybody is excited about the AMD’s new Radeon™ R9 Fury X and the hype has been in the air for this past month everywhere in the gaming community. AMD has taken a step further and unveiled this new line of graphic card along with their R7 300 series in Malaysia. Featuring market changing innovation such as equipping HBM technology and default closed loop cooling solution. Along with hardware releases, AMD has also unveiled additional supports such as API for DirectX 12, LiquidVR and Vulkan.

AMD’s new Radeon™ R9 Fury Series:

Originally codenamed “Fiji” was the first innovative GPU that uses new technology to further enhance not only performance but its form factor as well.

With High Bandwidth Memory(HBM), they were able to market the highest bandwidth memory ever. Delivering 60% more bandwidth than DDR5 with 4096-bit interface, it delivers 3x more performance per watt and has 94% less PCB area which made the Fury very small compared to other card in its class.

Due to the technological advances of HBM, the total dimension of this powerful card is only 19cm long.

The R9 Fury series are built for next gen gaming which means that they are optimized for 4K gaming experience. This is due to the high bandwidth memory technology that could render 4K resolution and more without lagging. Further enchancing the graphics, AMD has developed FreeSync technology(simiar to Nvidia’s earlier GSync).
