A short introduction to Android Wear is  basically Android’s interface reinvented to work on a wristwatch form factor. As of now, we can only confirm that it’s a basic wristwatch with a touch screen display, a microphone, and Google Now integrated a la Google Glass, where you can just say “OK Google” and tell what you want it to do. Obviously it’s still very limited for now and has a lot more potential for features to come by in the future.

Google uploaded a video showing what the Android Wear can do for now, which is just impressive!

Based on the video, Android Wear somewhat resembles most parts of the Google Glass in terms of features, which made me think that they both come from the same sources.

LG and Motorola both announced their own Android Wear watches respectively, namely the LG G Watch and also the Moto 360. They both have the traditional premium-looking wristwatch, making the blend of old and new a lot more seamless.

It’s a good thing too, at least then Samsung wouldn’t slap their gimmicks and bloatwares on the Android Wear and release a mediocre product that is designed by lawyers.
