ASUS Malaysia has launched a couple of new AiO desktops for the local market in the form of the AiO A5 and AiO M3.
Let’s start with the A5 first. This 23.8-inch model houses a NanoEdge display which is super thin in its bezel to give you that 89% screen-to-body ratio. Not required to push too much refresh rate since it isn’t really made for gaming, the IPS panel is still great at 100% sRGB color gamut plus the 178-degree wide viewing angles make sure everything looks consistent from any viewpoint. The anti-glare coating and TÜV Rheinland-certified eye care sticker mean it will work nicely for your eyes as well.
Under the hood is a piece of Intel Core i5-1340P + 8GB DDR4 RAM + 512GB PCIe SSD offering snappy and efficient computing while the 2.1 audio system pushes punchy bass and clear trebles for some nice music and it even supports Dolby Atmos plus 2-way AI-powered noise cancellation.
The I/O range is quite wide too with HDMI-In, HDMI-out, Thunderbolt 4, lots of USB-As, SD card reader, and more.
ASUS also made sure that upgrade options for the DIY gang is easy to do as well with open slots for additional storage options like HDD and SSD and for the “nothing on the table gang”, feel free to mount the entire thing via VESA.
Those who want a more budget option and don’t really mind the “Mac-like stand” can take a look at the AiO M3 instead.
It comes with an AMD Ryzen 3 7320 CPU, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 512GB PCIe SSD so this is not bad for those who prefer a little bit of light gaming in a form factor like this.
Also a 23.8-inch model, the screen refreshes at 75Hz to give you a little bit more smoothness in daily use while the similar 178° viewing angle just makes things a little bit easier. The color gamut is also identical at 100% sRGB compared to the A5.
I/O ports are fairly the same too with HDMI, USB-A, SD card reader, and so on.
Price and Availability
The ASUS AiO A5 is priced at RM3,699 while the M3 is at RM2,599 instead. Both products will come with a set of wireless mouse and keyboard to let you start the system right out of the box together with 3-year warranty for worry-free usage.
Both of them can be bought from online platforms and offline resellers alike starting right now.
