Tablets that can make calls – a niche market of devices that targets users who need a large screen with calling capabilities, and now being dubbed as phablets. This market has been expanding every so slowly these few years, showing minimal growth in number of users as there aren’t much of such devices available in the market. ASUS however wants to change that.
ASUS has been focusing the phablet market for quite some time now, starting way back with their first ever PadFone – a convertible that consists of a phone and a tablet dock, and then the first ever Fonepad – the tablet that makes calls. Now, a new iteration of the Fonepad is available right here in Malaysia – the Fonepad 7 FE375CG. This phablet uses a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage and expandable up to a 64GB micro SD card. It has a 5MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP selfie camera too. What’s better is that the Fonepad 7 has front facing stereo speakers. Finally! And let’s not forget – it’s using Android 4.4 KitKat.
If the aforementioned specs are not sufficient to surprise you, maybe the inclusion of dual-SIM capabilities will. The Fonepad 7 has dual-SIM slot and comes with a 15Wh lithium polymer battery to cater your continuous chitter-chatter that goes on for hours. And that’s not all – ASUS is even kind enough to include PixelMaster technology for their camera into the Fonepad 7!
Now, this device seems to be too good to be true – the price for the amazing Fonepad 7 is only RM649 for the 8GB internal storage version, and is available nationwide now!
