ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
This card right here, has a 2.5-slot width for 40% more surface area for heat dissipation, claims ASUS. They’ve packed in the MaxContact technology for a more optimized heat transfer, since its copper spreader is in direct contact with the GPU die. With ASUS’s patented triple wing-blade 0dB fans, the ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 Ti promises to deliver 30% cooler and 3x quieter performance than reference cards. ASUS FanConnect II software also provides CPU- or GPU-controlled fan headers and a comprehensive set of GPU Tweak II tuning options to optimize system cooling even further.
ASUS Turbo GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
ASUS Turbo GeForce GTX 1080 Ti features a dual-ball-bearing fan for up to two-times (2X) longer card lifespan and a customizable logo to let gamers personalize their system. It also features a VR-friendly design with two HDMI ports so gamers can enjoy immersive virtual reality at any time without having to swap cables.
What about pricing and availability?
I wish I can answer you… but the prices are still unannounced yet, and the availability is sketchy as of now. The ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition is said to be readily available in the market starting from mid-March, whereas the ROG Strix GeForce 1080 Ti is estimated to be available by end of March.
Also, do note that the ROG Strix GeForce 1080 Ti will have its information updated when we receive it. From what we can see, ASUS seems to have two different versions in the works now – one non-OC and another OC version.
We’ll definitely update you when we have more information about it.
