If there’s one thing that Lenovo has proven right, is that their all-original concept of the Yoga devices opened up an entirely new world of 2-in-1 form factors. Now, that didn’t stop its competitors to come up with their own versions of 2-in-1 tablet-PCs, especially ASUS.
ASUS is now venturing into that exciting ground, that is to combine their convertible with the 360º rotating touch-screen, called the Transformer Book Flip. It has all the 4 necessary modes – laptop, media, propped view, and also pure tablet.
One thing that sets this Transformer Book Flip apart from the competitor is the power that it has. It’s available in both 13.3-inch and also 15.6 inch, both with tad disappointment as it only has a 1366×768 resolution display, but has the all-exclusive ASUS SonicMaster to immerse yourself into the world of audio.
There are a little spec variance depending on the size you’re getting, as listed below
- TP300LA (Core i3)
- 13.3-inch
- Intel Core i3-4010U with Intel Integrated HD Graphics 4400
- 500GB hard disk drive
- Priced at RM1,699
- TP550LN-CI073H (Core i5)
- 15.6-inch
- Core i5-4210U with GeForce GT840M
- 500GB HDD + 24GB SSD
- Priced at RM 2,599
- TP550LN-CI088H (Core i7)
- 15.6-inch
- i7-4510U with GeForce GT840M
- 500GB HDD + 24GB SSD
- RRP: RM 2,899
For a form factor like this, the highest spec seems like a very viable option for many people. Plus, the price is about the same as the all new iPhone 6 16GB. Why not get a full-fledged 2-in-1 tablet-PC instead of a function-limited-yet-overpriced smartphone?
