One of the important rounds during ASUS’s keynote during CES 2025 is its commitment to deliver Copilot+ laptops with better AI technology and sustainability via a new series as well as a yearly refresh.
We’ll take a look at the new member in the block first- the Zenbook A14 touted as the world’s lightest Colipot+ PC at just 899g (lighter than a bag of sugar? Dang.). ASUS gave this model the Qualcomm Snapdragon X processor that sits in between the ‘Elite’ and ‘Plus’ SKUs for the best balance between affordability, performance, and battery life.
Official benchmark stated that it has up to 45 TOPS of AI performance, an up to 32-hour battery pack at 70WHr, and the award-winning Ceraluminum chassis offering a scratch + fingerprint resistance surface that is also slick and comfortable to touch.
It will also be shipped with AI tools including Live Captions, Generative Fill, Restyle Image, and Windows-exclusive features like Recall but for this one, it is still in the preview phase so don’t expect much from it just yet.
The dual fan design ensures thermal efficiency, while security is enhanced with adaptive lock and multi-person detection. With its ultraportable design and comprehensive I/O ports, the Zenbook A14 is perfect for productivity on the go.
Meanwhile, the new Vivobook 14 and Vivobook 16 series of models X[A]1407/X[A]1607 can be configured to either carry the Qualcomm Snapdragon X or AMD’s latest Ryzen AI 7 300 series processors for better multitasking performance.
Notable highlights include up to 19.8 hours of battery life and AI tools, Microsoft Pluton-augmented hardware encryption, AI Camera with Adaptive Lock, and Adaptive Dimming for smart and efficient screen brightness adjustment.
Connectivity options include USB4 Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, HDMI, and more. These laptops are available in Cool Silver, Quiet Blue, and Platinum Gold (14-inch variant) to cater to diverse user preferences.
Availability
The Zenbook A14 is expected to be available in Malaysia by late February 2025, while the Vivobook 14/16 series is set to arrive by early March 2025.
