To further support the movement of the Microsoft Copilot+ AI PCs movement, ASUS’s theme for COMPUTEX 2024 also covers that ground and in one shot, announced 4 categories of new products.
We’ll start with the most interesting of all. Is that a ProArt series laptop? Yes, it is – With three models of P16, PX13, and PZ13 to fill the initial debut.
So first, the ProArt P16 sets a nice middle ground of 1.85 kg and 14.9 mm physical specifications with the innards carrying an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070.
Fans seeking a convertible option may look at the 13-inch ProArt PX13 which allows full switching between laptop/tent/stand/tablet mode. The astounding 3K ASUS Lumina OLED display churns immersive visuals while the processing parts top out at the same tier as the P16. The I/O is pretty cool too – 2x USB4 with 40Gbps bandwidth, HDMI 2.1 FRL, and UHS-22 microSD card reader.
Tablet user much? Then the full detachable ProArt PZ13 will be the one for you powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 3K ASUS Lumina OLED screen, large battery, IP52 rating, and SD slot with microSD adapter.
For some extra bonus, ASUS got a deal with CapCut and is offering buyers of the ProArt laptops 6-month premium access to the service that hosts assets and such.
On the other hand, the Zenbook S 16 strikes gold with its AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor sitting inside a chassis that is just 1.1cm slim and 1.5kg light.
Despite the physical limits, ASUS still made it possible to chill 28W of TDP thanks to the 3D vapor chamber plus the CNC-machined keyboard area comes with a novel geometric grille design that ensures maximum airflow while reducing dust ingress.
As for the screen, very standard 16-inch 16:10 panel with 120Hz refresh rate sits in there while the range of I/O is impressive with USB4, USB-A 3.2, HDMI, 3.5mm audio jack, and SD card reader.
The chassis comes with an outer lid made of Ceraluminum that combines the beauty of ceramic with the strength of aluminum which is coated in either the Scandinavian White or Zumaia Gray.
Oh yeah, the FHD AiSense IR camera with various AI effects and Windows Hello support makes online calls better and automates login with ease as well as the 40% larger 16:10 touchpad wraps up the premium laptop experience protected by Microsoft Pluton..
For the Vivobook, aside from last time’s featured section where it comes with the Snapdragon X Elite processor, this time it is joining Team Red with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. This is for the S 15 model while the others of S 14 and S 16 are given a slimmer and lighter design instead.
With up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD together with IceCool thermal solution, one can easily enjoy great power without carrying big baggage everywhere.
Lastly, the TUF Gaming laptops of A14 and A16 will also get the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU combo to power the 2.5K 165Hz screen, which is great for AI inferencing when it is time to chill back from gaming for a while.
The stuff that one might expect such as webcam background blur, and eye-gaze correction – all of these are quite common and are directly integrated into the Windows ecosystem so as long as Windows 11 is in a 2024 laptop, it will be there.
