ASUS Malaysia has announced the arrival of a couple of new home and office-friendly systems for you to choose from. Let’s welcome the 2024 edition of the ASUS ExpertBook B1 laptop and AiO A3 all-in-one desktop.
We’ll look at the ExpertBook B1 first. The latest model offers choices of either 12th Gen or 13th Gen Intel Core CPUs so if you don’t mind a slightly older SKU, you can save some bucks in the meantime.
The machine starts from having 8GB DDR4-3200 RAM to upwards of 32GB while a flat 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD is given to all available models. As for the screen, a simple 14-inch NanoEdge panel with a 178-degree viewing angle and 180-degree hinge makes the laptop way more flexible in terms of potential use cases.
A full range of I/O ports means no more troublesome moments in connecting peripherals during work while a WiFi 6E wireless connection helps you stay connected with fast Internet speed.
Design-wise, it is basically the same old “blue professional look” but the new model is rated to be more power efficient and complies with more environmental sustainability certifications like EPEAT Gold, TCO 9.0, and ENERGY STAR 8.0.
For those who prefer a “near cableless desktop setup”, the AiO A3 comes in handy with fairly decent specs of 12th Gen Intel Core CPU, Up to 16GB RAM, and a flat 512GB PCIe SSD placed within a chassis hosting a 23.8-inch NanoEdge display with 88% screen-to-body ratio and 100% sRGB color gamut.
Aside from a sleek body design that goes well with any office setup, the system also comes with a set of 6W speakers that eliminate the need for another set of external units and it even has Dolby Atmos support.
By the way, skip the peripherals with cables as Bluetooth 5.3 will keep the mouse and keyboard connection stable and fast while Wi-Fi 6 maintains a fast and low latency Internet speed.
A total of 6 USB ports consisting of 1x USB-C and 5x USB-A good for hard drives and such. As for upgradability, ASUS left some SO-DIMM and a SATA port open to help users expand memory options as they see fit.
And don’t bother getting an extra set of webcam and mic – the AiO A3 already included those for you.
