It’s been quite a while since the Asus Fonepad was launched – the first ever 7-inch phablet by Asus. Now, they are ready to announce the new Asus Fonepad in Malaysia, called the Fonepad 7.
The Fonepad 7’s specs are as such :
- Dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 with Hyper-Threading
- 7-inch LED-backlit 1280×800 resolution IPS display
- 1GB RAM, 16GB storage
- Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
- 5MP rear-facing camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera
- 3950mAh battery
Sure, the specs remained more or less similar to its predecessor to maintain its price, but that didn’t stop Asus to include and improve some of the features of it. The rear-camera boasts a burst shot mod that is capable of taking 100 continuous shots and 1080p video recording. The Fonepad 7 also has a microSD card slot that lets you expand up to 32GB of storage space.
Asus – as usual, gives 5GB worth of cloud storage space on their Asus WebStorage for free for you to keep all your files backed up and secure in the cloud. Also with the usual bigger-than-5-inch smart devices, there must be a note-taking/drawing/scribbling app, and Asus included SuperNote for you to do so. There’s also a new Floating App that enables up to 6 apps to be running side by side on the screen at once.
Running on Asus’ special SonicMaster technology, the device has two front speakers – mimicking the renowned HTC One. By having two front speakers, this will certainly make the Asus Fonepad 7 to be an excellent multimedia device compared to any other tablets in the market.
Now that the Fonepad 7 had gotten your interest, it’s time to announce that the Asus Fonepad 7 is already available in Malaysia at your favourite IT stores and retailers starting from now. The recommended retail price of this device is conveniently priced at RM 999. The Fonepad 7 is also available in black and white too!
