Just when we thought that the prices of gaming laptops are only going up, ASUS surprised us once again with the release of the brand new X570ZD laptop. This gaming laptop achieves a low price tag beacuse it is using AMD’s Ryzen processor instead, while still equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 GPU.

ASUS made the X570ZD to have a stunning look – a smart and sophisticated Reaper Black finish accented by Lightning Blue edges. Its 21.9mm profile and overall weight of 1.9kg makes it one of the lightest high-performance laptops available.

From here we can see a few things which also contributed to its low price tag. Firstly, the RAM slot. The ASUS X570ZD only has another spare SO-DIMM RAM slot which can support up to 8GB only – which means the X570ZD can only have a maximum of 12GB RAM unless you remove the existing 4GB RAM too.

Secondly, the storage options. By default, it comes with a 1TB SATA III hard disk. It is obvious that ASUS is doing this to cut the price down. We found out that there is an M.2 SSD slot available for upgrade.

However, the laptop is certainly lighter than many other laptops out there, weighing in at only 1.96kg. For the price of RM2,899, you get a rather recent-looking laptop too.
