Now, this is a rather secretive announcement by ASUS. I know, that sentence “secretive announcement” sounds rather contradicting, but hear me out here. The ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is certainly official, but ASUS isn’t telling us a whole lot about the card itself.
For what we know now, the ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is showcased over at ROG Join the Republic: Outshine the Competition event in Berlin, Germany. We have no idea what other details were disclosed during that event, but here are the details we have.
The ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti itself has two different cooling “choices”. Pick either air of liquid cooling – or combine both if you desire. According to ASUS, the ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti features the “next-generation DirectCU H2O technology with patented 0dB fans”, which lets you choose between air or liquid cooling. Again, your choice.
To all liquid cooling enthusiasts out there, this is for you. The DirectCU H2O now has an increased flow rate by 22% and features a G1/4-inch terminal block for easy plumbing.
It does have ASUS’s AURA Sync built in, so RGB is inevitable on this card for sure.
What about clock speeds? Well, here’s where the “secretive” part comes in. There are no official specs disclosed by ASUS yet – not even on the official product page. No prices or availability too! Guess we’ll have to wait for further details.
Don’t worry – we’ll be sure to update this post when we have more information. Till then, be sure to enable notifications from our site!
