ASUS Malaysia has proudly released the Vivobook 13 Slate OLED in Malaysia.
Claimed the title of the world’s 1st 13-inch Windows detachable laptop and with Windows 11 on top of that, the Vivobook 13 Slate OLED is going to fill the shoes of multiple devices at once – be it a traditional laptop or an on-the-go tablet. Designed with style and versatility, it can take on different kinds of tasks through the full-size detachable keyboard, ASUS Pen 2.0 stylus, and 170° hinge cover stand where users can just pick their favorite and just go ham.
The 13.3-inch OLED Dolby Vision OLED touchscreen is its core attraction which carries a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio which is the golden ratio for watching movies and TV shows. Adding the PANTONE Validated sticker, DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, and 100% DCI-P3 gamut, everything here is tailor-made to provide not only a day-to-day color-accurate experience but also a superior entertainment setting while the audio department is amped up with the Dolby Atmos quad-speaker setup that goes up to as much as 3.5x louder than standard ones.
On the other hand, the tablet mode is mainly carried by the high-precision ASUS Pen 2.0 that complies with the Microsoft Pen Protocol 2.0 that is ready to input anything with its 4096-level pressure sensitivity, 5.35gram pen-tip force, and 266Hz sampling rate that can mimic 4 kinds of pencil texture that includes 2H, H, and HB for truly natural sketching and drawing feeling. To charge it, simply plug in any USB-C charger pair it via Bluetooth with the one-click button, and snap it on the magnetic holder on the side when not using it. A free 1-month of Adobe Creative Cloud subscription is also included for those who need to start working as soon as possible.
As for the computing parts, the Intel Pentium Silver N6000 is more than enough for light tasks and casual editing, and with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB PCIe SSD, the machine can be snappy and responsive for as long as it lives. For I/O, there’s a couple of USB-C, a microSD reader, and an audio jack. You can also charge the device through USB-C if you’re into that sort of thing.
To fully realize the mission of both laptop and tablet, it features a front 5MP “webcam” for video calls and a 13MP read camera for taking photos and videos on the go with an AI Noise-Cancelling microphone taking care of muting your surroundings during important conferences.
