ASUS’s latest livestream that was conducted during the midnight times in Malaysia has revealed a series of new Zenbook laptops slated for release somewhere during this year.

Among the new products are mostly some of the old faces getting some uplift in computing parts while a few new members have entered the Zenbook family too. Most importantly, these new machines are also using ASUS’s latest visual-based logo which is the up-facing arrow icon.

ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X OLED

We are going to start the show with the strongest of all – the Zenbook Pro 16X OLED that is made for creators with zero compromises featuring an aerospace-grade 6000-series aluminum alloy that is CNC-machined to become a super-tough yet slim and light chassis to pack in some top tier hardware of up to an Intel Core i9-12900H CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060.

Chilling it off is ASUS’s newly developed IceCool Pro cooling system utilizing 2 quiet IceBlades fans that are fitted with 97 3D-curved blades that optimize airflow efficiently to take the heat off the 5mm heat pipe connecting the CPU and GPU. Internal tests showed that even running at a combined 140W TDP has zero throttling upon the performance graph, or on the other hand, is generally quieter in the Standard power profile.

And how can we forget about the ultra-premium 16-inch 16:10 4K OLED display running at 60Hz that comes with a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, is PANTONE Validated and can provide a 550-nit brightness certified with Dolby Vision. On top of all of these, it is a touchscreen too!

Other notable features include the creator’s best friend ASUS Dial rotary controller, an enlarged touchpad with haptic feedback, and a new White-RGB ASUS Intelligent Lighting System that represents system status as visual alerts.

ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED

Other than that, the new Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED is also a crazy one because it is fitted with the world’s 1st 14.5-inch 2.8K OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate while the secondary touchscreen Screenpad Plus is now slightly larger at 12.7-inch and utilizes the new AAS Ultra auto-tilting mechanism overs better cooling and ergonomics. The main display rocks all the feature set/certification/validation stuff like the aforementioned model so you know this is also suitable for studio work.

For the horsepower parts, it can also be fitted with up to an Intel Core i9-12900H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti but just at a slightly lower combined TDP of 85W. Despite having lower power, it also means lower noise and temperature when it is running at full power.

ASUS also announced that the old 15.6-inch Zenbook Pro 15 Duo OLED received a bit of hardware refresh love too by giving it a selection of up to an Intel Core i9-12900H + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 combo.

ASUS Zenbook Pro 17

Meanwhile, a new big boy enters the battlefield which is the new Zenbook Pro 17 that rocks a large 17.3-inch 2.5K IPS NanoEdge Dolby Vision touchscreen with PANTONE Validation and 165Hz refresh rate which is great for both casual and gaming use. The underlying parts powering the machine are an up to AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050.

ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED

Shedding the size a bit and back to the usual form factor, the new 15.6-inch Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED offers a versatile and top industrial experience thanks to the Intel Evo certification that guarantees the device to pack with an HD IR camera for fast face login, responsive feedbacks thanks to the up to 12th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU armed together with the new Intel Arc A370M discreet GPU. The screen is also one of the best which is a 2.8K 120Hz OLED touchscreen, in case you don’t need to all the way up to 4K.

Zenbook S 13 Flip OLED 2022

Lastly, the Zenbook S renowned for its ultrathin and ultralight characteristics welcomes the Zenbook S 13 OLED and Zenbook S 13 Flip OLED. Featuring outstanding power efficiency and high-capacity batteries it is one of the long-lasting devices that enables multi-day use without getting any juice.

But there are several differences between the two aside from the 360-degree ErgoLift hinge though. For starters, the Flip model has an up to 12th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU with 3x Thunderbolt 4 ports, microSD reader, and a huge 67Wh battery. It also utilizes presence detection capability to automatically log in and out of the device on demand. Sounds familiar? Yes, these are all Intel Evo standards and of course, the Flip variant is certified.

On the other hand, the standard clamshell Zenbook S 13 OLED sides with Team Red as it is given a combination of up to an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor with Radeon 680M graphics. As a non-Intel machine, the Thunderbolt ports are replaced with USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 as usual and the display is all good because it is a 16:10 2.8K OLED HDR NadoEdge Dobly Vision touchscreen with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, is PANTONE Validated.
