Just a day ago, we have the ZenFone 5z with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage price leaked at RM1,899. Today, we have the price for the highest end 8GB RAM with 256GB of storage leaked – and thanks once again to Lazada for the leak!
It’s looking real good, as it’s way cheaper than what OnePlus and Mi Mix 2S has to offer. For just RM2,299, you’ll get Snapdragon 845, 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and also 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage. That is the best specs you can get.
The ZenFone 5z will have a large 6.2-inch 2246×1080 resolution IPS LCD display as well.
Other specs remained the same as the ZenFone 5 that we already reviewed here, namely the dual rear-cameras – one with Sony IMX363 12MP sensor f/1.8 24mm with PDAF and 4-axis OIS and EIS, and another with OmniVision 8856 8MP sensor f/2.0 12mm fixed focus with 120° wide-angle. As for the selfie camera, it’s another OmniVision 8856 8MP sensor with f/2.0 24mm fixed focus.
Everything on the ZenFone 5z is powered by a 3,300mAh battery, which is sufficient enough for day-to-day use thanks to the efficiency that the Snapdragon 845 has. Also, after many complaints, ASUS finally included fast charging with its 9V 2A charger for the ZenFone 5z.
With that said, the ZenFone 5z is currently the one smartphone with the best value for a smartphone with Snapdragon 845 chipset and the fastest storage technology available in the market. The price is only RM2,299. And we expect it to arrive to market soon as well, since it’s already listed on ASUS Official Store in Lazada.
Let’s not forget that the ZenFone 5z also has a microSD card slot as well. That’s something that the OnePlus 6 and Mi Mix 2S does not have.
