ASUS ROG Zephyrus S GX502 Glacier Blue

The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro (M1) is a big hit in Malaysia – and no doubt about it since it’s only RM699. During flash sales, it can go as low as RM599 and even RM1 during the RM1 Frenzy sales. The sales came and went within seconds – and the flash sale was also on time this round.

However that flash sale is only for the 3GB RAM variant. The 4GB RAM variant is ZenFone Max Pro (M1) was kind of mysterious – but it’s finally here in the market today!

Starting today onward, you can get the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of the ZenFone Max Pro (M1) for RM859 over at Lazada.

ASUS ZenFone Max Pro (M1) 4GB RAM

It literally has the same specs as the ZenFone Max Pro (M1) that we reviewed here, just that now it has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It’s actually a pretty capable gaming machine as it has the Snapdragon 636 chipset. It is capable of running Honkai Impact 3, an intensive and power-hungry 3D game, at medium settings and it’s pretty darn near 60FPS smoothness as well.

With the 5,000mAh battery, it can actually run Honkai Impact 3 for few hours straight. Magical.

As for the GPS issue, we tested it and it seems to be better than previous generations of the ZenFone Max smartphones. It’s definitely not the fastest or best in the market but it does work.

There have also been countless updates from ASUS to make sure the software on the ZenFone Max Pro (M1) is running at its tip top condition. It’s also ASUS’s first smartphone to run on pure stock Android, so cut them some slack here.
