About a half year gap since the original launch of the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro (M1) that we reviewed here, we honestly loved what the value that it brings. Even for the 4GB and 6GB variants, the price is still below RM1k. We asked why ASUS split the ZenFone Max Pro into its own series, we were told that it is because ASUS can refresh the Max Pro series to have more competitive edge in the market. And we’re getting the Max Pro M2 soon.

Just a little bit earlier, we saw that the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro (M2) will be launched in Indonesia this 11th December 2018. That’s less than a month from now – and we think that ASUS Indonesia is going to do a massive sale for this 12.12 sales too.

From what we know through leaks, ASUS will be launching two new models for the Max M2 family – and that’s the ASUS ZenFone Max M2, and also the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2. The difference here is the “Pro”.

The popular tipster, Roland Quandt, tweeted this out. From here, he also said that the RAM, CPU, and camera counts are “pretty much 100%”.

The ZenFone Max M2 is said to have model number ZB633KL with a 6-inch FHD+ screen, 13MP rear-facing camera with a depth sensor, 4GB RAM, and comes with up to 64GB of storage. It uses the Snapdragon 636 chipset once more – which through our eyes, seems like a refresh of the original ZenFone Max Pro M1.

Then comes the Max Pro M2 – which comes packed with a higher-powered Snapdragon 660 chipset with what seems to be a triple rear-facing camera alongside with a 6-inch FHD+ screen with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.

[UPDATED] ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 Launches In Indonesia Soon; Render Leaked 1XDA found a low-resolution render leak as well, which shows the Max Pro M2’s screen to have a notch.

UPDATE: The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 is launching in Malaysia on the 11th December as well!

Wait, what? ASUS Malaysia just shared this image out. On the 11th of December 2018, us Malaysians are getting the device too!

What’s interesting here is that ASUS here is literally roasting Xiaomi as the 米 here is Xiaomi’s “mi” in Chinese. And what’s with #ZennyCookRice? Seems like they’re literally roasting Xiaomi there, isn’t it?
