Most of don’t know what Beatbuddy is, and I’m not surprised, since it is an indie game that got some publicity, and became the winner for Best Youth Game at the German Game Awards 2014.
I’ve played this game on Steam when I got it from a Humble Bundle a couple of months ago, and it was absolutely worth it. The art, the design and the soundtrack is what makes the biggest deal. These factors made the gameplay to be a secondary factor when it comes to Beatbuddy.
Now, why am I making this such a big deal? Retina Display on a portable 10-inch (or 7-inch, if you’re on the Mini) display with such vibrant-coloured environments in the game to go alongside with its fantastic soundtrack, it’s definitely a game to look out for. Maybe not on the iPhone, wouldn’t be fun with such a small screen now, would it?
