BenQ Malaysia is bringing in the brother of the GV30 mini LED projector which is the GV11 which tilts towards the side of affordability than the former for a lower entry barrier of big screens everywhere you go.
Releasing the exact same vibe as the GV30, the GV11 can be said as a lower tier of the GV30 because it is almost the same but not quite. For one, the GV11’s side harness utilizes a horizontal stripe design instead of the circle grill. Other than that, the projection angle is slightly lower for the GV11 too.
Performance-wise, the resolution it targets is actually 480p which explains why it is much cheaper and the lumens scale is only at 200lm instead of the GV30’s 300lm. All in all, you may treat it as a much more affordable version when the GV30 if it is over your budget or simply is just too much for your usage.
So the GV11 is basically a scaled-down version that still obeys the law of “You Pay What You Get” which I think is a nice way of letting more people get into the portable projector scene without overkilling their wallets. Since it has built-in Android TV and speakers as well, the entire unit is all you need for an outdoor movie session.
