Probably not what I’d expect to be seeing anytime soon, but it’s real. The BenQ W1210ST has a 100-inch projection at 1.5 meter, thanks to the short-throw technology. What’s interesting though, is that BenQ calls this a home projector for gaming.
The BenQ W1210ST has something called Low Input Lag to create a much more smoother and responsive gaming experience. Other than that, there’s a Game Mode to boost visual and audio performance for an even more immersive experience. The BenQ W1210ST also features a 6X RGBRGB colour wheel to ensure the more accurate colour reproduction when projected onto the screen too, as it ensures vibrant, natural notes and hues.
What’s even more ambitious is BenQ’s claim on its immersive audio experience, thanks to the CinemaMaster Audio+, powered by MaxxAudio. It’s a 20-watt speaker that BenQ claims that it can enable players to hear what’s going on in the game.
Just how well will the BenQ W1210ST perform though? I have no idea – but I’m very interested to try out. If you want to try it for yourself though, it’ll set you back RM4,999. Quite steep, but really exciting piece of hardware!
