This eventually led to the boom of fantasy sports as a mobile gaming genre. According to an article by Bloomberg, the global demand for fantasy sports, in terms of revenue, is at USD 20.69 billion.

Dream Sports, Fanduel (Flutter Entertainment), and the NFL are only some of the organizations that are at the forefront of the flourishing world of fantasy sports. All of these three boast different kinds of fantasy football games, which allow participants to act as the general managers of virtual professional American football teams. They can select their roster by participating in a draft, as well as, earn points based on their team’s actual performance.

iGaming

In recent years, one of the gaming genres that has been gaining a lot of traction is iGaming. With a CAGR of 11.5% from 2020 to 2027, the global iGaming market size is expected to balloon to USD 127.3 billion, based on a new report by Grand View Research. Moreover, Moontoon also focused their investments on countries where ML players are abundant. For instance, the company held its first-ever Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) for gamers in Malaysia and Singapore. Moontoon also offered a total prize pool of USD 100 thousand.
