In conjunction with Samsung Pay’s 3rd-year anniversary celebration, Samsung has announced a new collaboration with eWallet service Boost which owners of supported devices can now scan Boost QR codes through Samsung Pay to pay or receive money.
With how much local shops and stalls supporting digital payment nowadays, it is always nice to see more and more merchants embracing digital transformation that made life easier for both themselves and the customers.
Unification means convenience for users, and security will be improved too as solutions like Samsung Knox helps to add another layer of protection to sensitive data. Samsung Pay is a very complicated system, by the way.
Excited for the announcement? All you need to do is to follow these steps:
- Install Samsung Pay and sign in to your Samsung Account
- Register your fingerprint or iris and create a 4-digit PIN to secure your payment
- Add Boost QR card by registering for a new account or link your existing Boost account
- Add money with credit/debit cards or via online banking. Upgrade to Premium wallet for a higher limit.
- Scan QR to launch your camera to scan QR code for payment
- Show your QR code and authenticate with fingerprint or Boost PIN to pay or receive funds

Actually, we already kinda already know that Samsung is collaborating with Boost. It was practically “leaked” when we first reviewed and used Samsung Pay on the Galaxy S20 Ultra. It did flash a card with Boost printed on it, but there was no official announcement at that time.
