CelcomDigi has signed a 15-year strategic agreement with Kulim Technology Park Corporation (KTPC) to provide fibre connectivity for Industrial Zone Phase 4A (IZP 4A) at Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP), supporting the digital infrastructure needs of manufacturers and businesses moving into the new industrial zone.
The partnership will see CelcomDigi manage the fibre duct infrastructure at IZP 4A while providing incoming tenants with a range of enterprise connectivity solutions. These include Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), Private Leased Lines (PLL), IPVPN, Managed Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and Managed Fibre services.
Established in 1996, KHTP has grown into a major industrial hub in Kedah, particularly for high-technology manufacturing. According to KHTP, the park recorded RM189.4 billion in cumulative investment and supported a workforce of 48,813 as of the second quarter of 2026.
As the industrial park continues to expand, reliable and high-capacity connectivity is becoming increasingly important for manufacturers operating across digitally connected environments. CelcomDigi says its enterprise solutions will give IZP 4A tenants access to connectivity infrastructure that can be adapted as their operational requirements evolve.
The agreement also ties into the wider development of the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER), which covers Perlis, Kedah, Penang and Perak. Through its partnership with KTPC, CelcomDigi aims to support further investment and the growth of technology-driven industries across the region.
The company sees its role as extending beyond connectivity to providing the digital foundations businesses need to grow, with its fibre infrastructure and enterprise capabilities now being extended to KHTP Phase 4A.
With IZP 4A still developing, the partnership gives incoming manufacturers access to enterprise-grade connectivity as their digital and operational requirements grow.
