Have you seen the Razer Firefly? You know, that mouse pad with RGB lightings around its perimeter. After many months, only Razer had such a ridiculous product. Now, Corsair MM800 Polaris RGB is the brand new addition of such ridiculous “device” in the market.
The Corsair MM800 Polaris RGB is also a hard gaming mouse mat, similar to the original Razer Firefly. It has 15 individual edge-mounted RGB zones around its perimeter and has true PWM lighting for colour reproduction accuracy, as well as Corsair Utility Engine, or CUE, to sync up all the lighting effects with other Corsair peripheral.
So what’s the main selling point of the Corsair MM800 Polaris RGB compared to its rival? To that I shall point out the single feature that Corsair – a USB pass-through. Now, to most people, this is a negligible feature. For me however, I see it as a form of mouse bungee feature. How many times have your mouse cable snag on the table’s edge, making you miss that 360noscope shot? Traditional mouse bungees are humongous and a total waste of space, so why not implement it into a RGB mouse pad? It’s taking up one USB port already.
