Dell Technologies has unveiled the all-new APEX portfolio to simplify how business organizations consume and utilize technologies in the modern era.
APEX is a combination of multiple as-a-service offering that provides everything a business needs in terms of cloud technology with high flexibility and a fast deployment period as quick as within 14 days. First off, APEX Data Storage Services offers enterprise storage with 3 tiers of block/file storage options starting from 50TB all deployable on-premise, specific locations, or colocation facilities. Next, APEX Cloud Services provides both hybrid and private cloud computing power which supports both local and cloud-native applications packaged in a simplified and streamlined user experience.
Need a tailored solution? Then the APEX Custom Solutions is capable of doing that by providing servers, storage, data protection, and hyper-converged infrastructure as-a-service through APEX Flex On Demand for a detailed and specific deployment method. APEX Data Centre Utility provides yet another layer of flexibility through custom metering and managed services. To allow even more control from the clients, APEX Console delivers insights, analytics alongside monitoring and management service all within an easy-to-use interface while having access to statistics such as usage, spending, and more.
Dell Technologies is also debuting new forms of support for edge computing use cases such as the new Dell EMC Streaming Data Platform (SDP) that runs powerful algorithms in real-time for analytic tasks even with a small footprint. Need something for a bigger scale of things? Then the Dell Technologies Manufacturing Edge Reference Architecture with PTC is designed to consolidate and deriving insights from all manufacturing devices for benefits including reduced costs, increased reliability, and more accurate business decisions. Also found in the APEX Private Cloud service, all forms of customers can start to virtualize and containerize applications with backend insights all from a consistent cloud experience.
To push the new APEX as-a-Service experience to more organizations, Dell Technologies is officially collaborating with Equinix International Business Exchange who runs data centers as its major business model. With more than 220 data centers globally hosting digital ecosystems for more than 10,000 companies, clients can configure, order, monitor, and make changes to their APEX services from the APEX Console while under a pay-as-you-use contract to allow them to properly manage their IT budget and only paying for what they have used.
Unfortunately, it is currently unavailable for Malaysia businesses to start taking advantage of APEX but pretty sure it’ll come sooner or later. Meanwhile, there’s still a lot more to take in through the official site.
