Dell Technologies has announced that they are leveling up the Dell PowerStore platform as well as the APEX portfolio with new features and elevated performances.
Let’s start with Dell PowerStore. It now supports the industry’s most flexible quad-level cell (QLC) storage to address the increasing workload demands through a lower cost-per-TB ratio where customers can start from as low as 11 QLC drives and scale up to 5.9PB with ease.
PowerStore also has intelligent load-balancing capabilities to help save costs and improve workload placement across mixed TLC and QLC clusters. Additionally, performance has been increased by up to 66% through new data-in-place higher model appliance upgrades.
Other optimizations have been delivered as well including up to 30% improved performance in mixed workloads and 20% better latencies, stronger data protection across Windows, Linux, and VMWare, refined data reduction algorithm, and higher power efficiency at 20% and 28% respectively. One can also connect PowerStore to Dell APEX Block Storage for easy multi-cloud deployment and workload mobility.
On the other hand, the APEX portfolio sees the expansion of AIOps Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) with Infrastructure Observability, Incident Management, and Application Observability to deliver a wide range of Dell infrastructure health and service availability through AI-driven software for simplified operations, greater control, and overall agility.
Other than that, the PEX ANavigator SaaS now includes Kubernetes storage management and additional support for Dell APEX Storage for Public Cloud offers. The details include Dell PowerFlex and soon, Dell PowerScale and Dell APEX Cloud Platform for Red Hat OpenShift, which are due to receive advanced data services like data replication, application mobility, and observability to containers. Customers can begin with a 90-day, risk-free trial of Dell APEX Navigator for Multicloud Storage and Dell APEX Navigator for Kubernetes.
