Dell Technologies has officially announced the new AI for Telecom program that can help Communications Service Providers (CSPs) get into the world of AI with utmost efficiency.

According to a recent study by MeriTalk, commissioned by Dell Technologies, 48% of telecom executives consider AI to be the most transformative technology in the next five years. However, 68% believe their organizations are struggling to keep up with the fast pace of technological changes and evolving customer demands.

So in order to capture that potential market share, Dell AI for Telecom, part of the Dell AI Factory, comes to the rescue by consolidating the organization’s expertise in infrastructure and services with software and hardware from across the AI ecosystem.

Focusing on creating and implementing on-premises AI solutions that CSPs can use to improve network performance, enhance customer service, and deliver more value at the enterprise edge, the program is aided by none other than NVIDIA themselves.

Here are just some of the given examples that Dell and NVIDIA are capable of providing:

  • Co-create and validate AI solutions for CSPs through the Dell AI Factory, utilizing Dell PowerEdge servers, NVIDIA GPUs, and enterprise-level AI software. These solutions help CSPs to:
    • Enhance customer care and network maintenance with the Amdocs amAIz platform.
    • Automate call center scripts and operations with Iternal.
    • Conduct network troubleshooting and analysis with Kinetica SQL-GPT.
    • Develop digital twins for networks and perform predictive maintenance using Synthefy.
  • Support AI deployments at the network edge with the PowerEdge XR8000 server, now equipped with NVIDIA L4 Tensor Core GPUs. Designed for telecom and edge use cases, these compact, modular servers simplify both deployment and maintenance.
  • Assist CSPs in designing and deploying GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) offerings, allowing them to offer on-demand NVIDIA GPU capacity to enterprise customers. These infrastructure solutions are optimized for AI workloads, enabling CSPs to deliver low-latency AI inference and training closer to where data is generated. This allows enterprises to scale AI deployments as needed while maintaining data control and governance.

Dell Professional Services will be backing up the program to provide strategy, implementation, and operational support for telecom AI solutions.

Not only that, Dell is already working with CSPs in the Dell Telecom Open Ecosystem Labs to co-develop AI solutions using Dell AI Factory infrastructure and ecosystem partnerships, enhancing customer experiences and improving network performance.

Indonesian ICT solutions company Lintasarta is offering GPU Merdeka, a GPUaaS service, providing AI infrastructure, including NVIDIA GPUs and Dell PowerEdge XE9680 servers, to national businesses.

SK Telecom, Dell, and other partners are collaborating on the creation of an AI chat agent for CSPs. The Mobile Network Operator (MNO) AI Platform aims to integrate AI into existing business support systems (BSS), enhancing telecom operations, driving revenue growth, and quickly addressing customer issues.
