Dell Technologies has announced several new offerings covering a wide range of products as part of its AI Factory initiative. Let’s see what’s on the list.

Dell IR7000 and Dell PowerEdge XE9712 2

First, we have the Integrated Rack 7000 (IR7000) providing a 21-inch form factor that can hold some of the denser CPU and GPU configurations. The sleds are now wider and taller to support bigger architectures and are certified to be capable of nearly 100% of produced heat through liquid cooling even when handling up to 480KW of power.

Not only it is fully Dell-compatible but it can also work with 3rd party networking gears for decent flexibility while the pre-integration with the brand’s Rack-Scale Systems (IRSS) allows seamless, energy-efficient deployment, ideal for AI workloads.

In terms of server support, Dell mentioned the PowerEdge XE9712 dedicated to LLM training and AI inference thanks to a large space capable of accommodating up to 36 NVIDIA Grace GPU + 72 NVIDIA Blackwell GPU with superior cooling efficiency of up to 25x compared to standard air-cooled systems.

On the other hand, the PowerEdge M7725 will also work with the rack which is great for compute-heavy scenarios like research and fintech fields.

On the other hand, Dell also worked with Intel to release the preconfigured “Generative AI Solutions with Intel” package that includes PowerEdge XE9680 servers and Intel Gaudi 3 AI accelerators, benefiting those who have previously worked with Team Blue stuff.

Also for the occasion, Dell also enhanced its PowerScale solution by optimizing them for AI workloads with new updates delivered to data management, AI performance, and storage density aspects.

Speaking of storage, they can now run 61TB drives that double storage efficiency while reducing data center footprints in addition to NVIDIA InfiniBand and 200GbE Ethernet adapter support for immense speeds and throughputs.

Further updates brought to the Dell Data Lakehouse platform now offer disaster recovery, automated schema discovery, and full stack upgrades, simplifying the management of AI and business data pipelines.
