The game of cat and mouse between white hats and black hats in the cybersecurity sector is a never-ending competition but one of the approaches gaining traction in recent years that has high effectiveness in protecting organizations and businesses (Or anything actually) is the Zero Trust policy which Dell Technologies is focusing in their latest collaboration effort.
Starting from next year’s spring season onwards, they will open up a Zero Trust Center of Excellence in partnership with CyberPoint International and the Maryland Innovation Security Institute (MISI) over at DreamPort – the US Cyber Command’s premier cybersecurity innovation facility. Over there, the idea of Zero Trust security will be showcased, recommended, and possibly integrated into visitors’ own organizations to buff up their defenses.
Through the new collaboration, Dell Technologies aims to become the catalyst for customers that wants to enforce Zero Trust by offering solutions and designs that will work with the client’s existing infrastructure. These include a secure data center to validate Zero Trust use cases built with the Department of Defense Zero Trust Reference Architecture as the foundation that can be tested before deployment.
Working from the inside of Dell Technologies, they are providing organizations with a roadmap to Zero Trust to build on clients’ existing cybersecurity assets via the Dell Cybersecurity Advisory Services like finding and addressing security gaps, offering advanced solutions for implementation, and continuous governance for long-term resiliency. Other than that, the new Vulnerability Management service will scan for security holes and potential exploits on a regular basis.
Additionally, the immense growth of object storage data requires yet another form of sophisticated security solution to properly isolate data, detect threats, and enable fast data recovery. In that case, the Dell ECS Enterprise Object Storage platform which is accessible through the AWS S3 protocol, critical applications, and backup servers can continue access the isolated copy while supporting legal compliance in the event of a cyberattack
compromising the primary and secondary data copy.
