Scientist has successfully able to connect two brains directly via electronics and communicate.

Brain-to-brain-rat-communication

The wires are implanted directly to a rat’s brain, allowing brain signals to be transferred across cables. The is history’s first brain-to-brain link. The experiment consist of two rats(obviously), one being the transmitter and one being the receiver. The receiving rat will react by one of the two levers corresponding to the light visible only by the transmitting rat.

Duke University has now proven that an artificial link between mammal brains is possible. Duke’s neuroscientist, Miguel Nicolelis is the man leading the research team says that other sensory information could be transferred as well such as touch, smell, taste and even vision!

“You could think about taste, vision — I don’t see any problem doing this,” he told NBC News.

They also suggest that more than two mammals could be linked forming a complex “Hive Mind” which immediately reminds me of The Borg from the Star Trek series. Soon, internet would be obsolete and we will be living like a single computer with million of cores.

Here is a video for you 🙂
