Well, of course it’s not the full experience. The author named “zhuowei” made a clone of the Google Glass interface and its functionality to run on Android under the project called Xenologer.
How it works is pretty simple – install a bunch of APKs including the Google Glass homescreen launcher, and it samples the “OK Glass” like Google Glass does, then takes in your other voice commands. You can say it’s a Google Now phone when it is in this launcher, but then again the camera doesn’t work at all. Navigation doesn’t work too, but it is expected since there is no turn-by-turn navigation support in Malaysia yet. Basic searching on Google Now works fine here too!
Nonetheless, the entire Xenologer project does make your Android phone work as if it is Google Glass, though it’s not entirely a glass… you get the idea. For the bunch of APKs’ download links and also a video for instructions and demonstrations, check out below!
