EZVIZ has brought in the new C8W outdoor camera, the latest addition to the C8 series of products.
A significant upgrade from the usual FHD offerings, the C8W is capable of recording footages at 2K+ resolution which is 2x clearer, and not only that, it runs at 30FPS instead of the past model’s 20FPS which is better in every sense no matter how you look at it. As one of the leading outdoor camera products, it also carries the pan and tilt function which when combined, creates a 360° FOV to monitor your premise without blind corners.
Aside from the high performance and efficient human/pet/object detection algorithm where most EZVIZ cameras are running, the C8W has additional ways to alarm users through blasting a loud siren and flashing spotlight on places where intruders have been detected to possibly deter them from sneaking in. To detect them, the camera unit is equipped with 3-night vision modes of Black & White, Color, and Smart where the latter runs on B&W first to keep the power consumption lower, and when human movement is detected it immediately switches to Color to quickly capture the details of the person. Similar to the C8PF, the C8W can be used as the communicator between the owner and visitors through the 2-way communication feature of both video and audio.
For storage, it uses H.265 video compression algorithm to keep files at high quality yet small and it can host up to a single 256GB microSD card or directly connect with EZVIZ’s CloudPlay online storage through a simple subscription.

The EZVIZ C8W is priced at RM449 in Malaysia and acquirable through physical distributor stores across shopping malls nationwide. At the time of writing, there are no official online sellers though.
