GoCar Malaysia has announced that they have teamed up with EV Connection to increase accessibility to EV charging stations in Malaysia.
This collaboration will enable GoCar’s mobile app to be integrated with EV Connection’s JomCharge mobile platform, increasing GoCar users’ and the general public’s access to more EV charging stations and fast DC chargers. Users will be able to see charger locations, charger availability, and charger types within EV Connection’s network through the app, following the first phase of integration in Q3 2022.
GoCar also intends to expand service enhancements such as the capability to pre-book an EV charger, schedule a recharge, make payments, and track the vehicle charging progress through the app.
Beyond the integration exercise, both firms have plans to look at other ways to boost EV adoption in Malaysia. EV battery recycling, EV charger solutions, and data sharing are a few examples of potential collaborations.
