Google now rolling out their Google AdWords with only HTML5 based ads. The company will no longer show any Flash based ads on their Google Display Network and DoubleClick Digital Marketing but only HTML5. This will make the ads more compatible across all devices.

According to them, 25% of global page views occur on smartphones and tablets and flash ads don’t really work well on these devices. For those who’s using Google AdWords, Google also includes Google Web Designer for free to build your new ads with HTML5. Starting 30th June 2016, display ads built in Flash can no longer be uploaded into AdWords and DoubleClick Digital Marketing. By 2nd January 2017, display ads in the Flash format can no longer run on the Google Display Network or through DoubleClick.

So for those who use Google AdWords to showcase their advertisements, better update your ads as soon as possible.
