Being a Grammar Nazi myself does render me a increasingly hated person. However, English is important for all of us, as it is the international language of Earth, and widely spoken among the Netizens.
Red Balloon here is a Brazilian-based program for young students to correct their favourite celebrities’ English through their tweets.
By activating their Grammar Nazi senses while monitoring what their favourite celebrities tweet, what the students do is that they will reply the tweet with their grammar mistake(s) pointed out and corrected.
The reason they do this is because of how fast the incorrect English can affect their favourite celebrities’ few million followers’ English in an instant. By “forcing” some proper English onto them, maybe they’ll at least take some precautionary steps before they send out their tweets next time. Check out the video for the full details.
