Honor recently launch their well-praised Honor 5X in Malaysia. The phone packed with a lot of goodies, and had received multiple awards during the CES 2016. Honor 5X is an all-metal body smartphone with 5.5″ FullHD display, featuring fingerprint reader. Unlike Nexus Imprint, Honor 5X fingerprint scanner has more functions than just to unlock your phone. It supports intuitive gesture controls that are baked into the OS.
According to Honor, the all-metal build of the phone was inspired by the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in Spain, where the sleek body blends the museum’s distinctive curved design with ergonomics principles to sit comfortably in the users’ hands. The Honor 5X 13MP camera features f/2.0 aperture, 28mm wide-angle lens, a blue glass infrared filter, and a macro mode for close-up shots. Their 5 MP front-facing camera includes a wide-angle F2.4 aperture lens, 22mm wide-angle lens which is suitable for those who like to selfie.
Under the hood, Honor 5X powered by Qualcomm 64-bit octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM which offers high-performance experience and backed with 3000mAh battery. The Honor 5X has 16HB on board memory, however it’s extendable with microSD up to 128GB, where you have plenty of room for your media consumption. The interesting part of the Honor 5X is that the phone supports 2 type of SIM, micro SIM and nano SIM, made it easier use for traveling. There’s three colour choices for the Honor 5X, Gold, Grey and Silver.
Honor also releasing their new line-up of Honor 7, which is an enhanced edition. It features Gold colour, with 32GB on-board memory and fast charging. According to Android Authority, the Honor 7 Enhance comes with EMUI 4.0 and Android Marshmallow out of the box.
Honor also previewed their new Band Z1, a very simple design watch. The Band Z1 offers useful features such as health and sleep tracking, and serves as a notification centre on the wrist that is easy to get access to. The Band Z1 has no button and fully operated via the touch screen, gives it a very unique look as far as smartwatch goes. Its simple design make it stand out and become the perfect accessory for active and trendy users on-the-go, thanks to its subdued and understated look.
The Band Z1 has 1.06 inch 128 x 128 pixels with soft-lit PMOLED screen is vivid enough when in a darkened area yet is legible enough in sunlit locations. The Band Z1 has capacitive sensor and Polysomnography (PSG) that can intelligently distinguish between wake and sleep, as well as taking users’ light and deep sleep states. The Band Z1 is IP68 certified so you don’t have to worry when you’re doing outdoor activities and it will last long enough, 3 days of usage. It will support any phone with Android 4.4.4 and above as well as iOS 7.0 and above.
The Honor 5X and 7 Enhance price is yet to be announced, but the Band Z1 will be retailed @ RM259 at vmall.my.
