The world’s most chocolaty operating system – Android 4.4 KitKat – is already available for quite some time now. Personally, I’ve been using it on the Nexus 4 before it was even released officially!
According to Geek.com, HTC and LG have both announced their plans for Android 4.4 KitKat updates for their flagship devices – the HTC One and also the LG G2. By doing so, even Samsung jumped in the bandwagon and said “hey, we’re going to release updates for Android 4.4 KitKat, but only for Google Play Edition”, which means boohoo to all Malaysian Samsung users. I have no idea what takes them so long to get the updates of Android 4.4 to be prepared as even custom ROM developers with the team of two or three can finish up the entire port within a day or two. Seriously, manufacturers like HTC, LG, Sony and especially Samsung must have the budget to hire more people to work on the software updates. What’s taking them so long anyway?
We took a look at how great the Android 4.4 KitKat is, and even took a look at what’s the difference compared to its predecessors in terms of the user interface, icons and functions, just to name a few. Check out our review of KitKat here, and if you already got your Android phone rooted, be sure to check out if Android 4.4 KitKat has been ported to your phone or not! That’s the only way to get your phone updated way ahead of time!
