As days goes by, assignment deadlines come and go and weekends passed as you’re still not getting enough rest from a 2-day weekend, the next iteration of Android, that is version 4.3, is still not confirmed yet.
Solid evidences have shown us that the upcoming version of Android is 4.3, instead of the famous but false information about Android 5.0. HTC however, even prepared a schedule of when the devices are to be updated to Android 4.3.
Of course by the looks of this schedule, it’s for the U.S. devices since there are Verizon (a U.S. telco, like DiGi and Maxis) phones and a few phones which never to the Malaysian shores. Some however, are international devices – meaning that they can (or already are) unlocked and can be used on any other telcos in the world, which means any a la carte HTC phones you buy in Malaysia.
From the list above, HTC One, One X, One X+, Butterfly, One XL are the devices available in Malaysia and are getting updated to Android 4.3 by the end of this year.
Since this is indeed a leaked update list from HTC in the U.S., the updates are most likely to be delayed for Malaysia, unless you flash the dumped custom ROM when it’s out 😛
