Huawei finally launched their Mate 8 in Malaysia last Tuesday. The Huawei Mate 8 was officially launched at last November. The new Huawei Mate 8 was made to define premium living style and business management. Alongside the Mate 8, Huawei also launched their new tablet range, the MediaPad M2 10” as well as their new line of the smartwatch, Huawei Watch Jewel and Elegant.

The Huawei Mate 8 has the same concept like most flagship smartphones, the metallic unibody design. The display has the new 2.5D diamond cut glass covered around the front part of the body. The screen also has 85% screen-to-body ratio with a very thin bezel on its sides.

The Mate 8 has a quite big battery capacity at 4000 mAh, which would last the phone for more than a day on heavy usage. Aside from the big battery capacity, it has also equipped with fast charging and it only takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge the battery.

Under the hood, the Mate 8 is powered by their in-house HiSilicon Kirin 950 chipset, a combination of quad-core Cortex A72 and quad-core Cortex A53 CPU with Mali-T880 GPU. and up to 4GB RAM. If the 64GB memory storage is not enough, you can opt to use microSD up to 128GB.

MediaPad M2 was launched too last Tuesday. It’s Huawei’s approach for premium tablet that are focus on media consumption. The MediaPad M2 has four speakers and 4 power amplifiers configured by famous audio company Harman Kardon. It also features M-Pen so users can write or sketch on. The pen has 2048 pressure sensitivity for the artist who likes to draw on a tablet.

Huawei also revealed new variation of the Huawei Watch for the ladies. There’s two variants available, Jewel featuring Swarovski crystal around the watch bezel. The Elegant watch hosted a rose-gold plated body while the Jewel watch hosted rose-gold casing with 68 Swarovski Zirconia. Both watch screen is covered by Sapphire glass, so it is pretty much scratch proof.
