Huawei has announced the latest Huawei Y6p, an entry-level device packing tons of juice for long period usage. And as Hari Raya closes in, it would be a great gift for friends and family this year.
The specs are pretty basic for this entry-level device, equipped with usable hardware that at least does what a smartphone is supposed to do, justifying its cost at RM559.
- 6.3-inch IPS LCD display
- 720p resolution
- Waterdrop notch
- Mediatek Helio P22 chipset
- Up to 4GB RAM
- 64GB storage
- Quadruple rear-facing cameras
- Main: 13MP f/1.8 with PDAF
- Ultra-wide: 5MP f/2.2
- Macro: 2MP f/2.4
- Depth sensor
- Single selfie cameras
- Main: 8MP f/2.0
- 3.5mm headphone jack
- 5000mAh battery
- Android 10 with EMUI 10.1
- Blue, Green, Purple color
The catch of this device, however, is that it doesn’t come with Google Mobile Services so your only choice of getting apps is through Huawei’s own AppGallery. If you really can live without GMS and wants something that lasts long without breaking the bank and for someone like the kids, this would suit them surprisingly.
By the way, the Huawei Y5p is also available at RM359 and will be available for purchase at all Huawei Experience Stores, official retail stores, and Huawei’s online store from May 16 onwards.
To celebrate the upcoming Hari Raya festivities, Huawei is giving its AppGallery users a “Raya packet” where users can enjoy a 50% rebate when making certain In–App purchases on the Huawei AppGallery.
