huvr_logoLet’s face it – we all want a hoverboard since we first saw it in the movie Back To The Future. To be honest, I want one myself! Glide above everything and even on top of cars during traffic jams to show them who’s boss.

Firstly, HUVr’s video actually included a real, classical DeLorean that we’ve all seen and love in the Back To The Future film. Heck, they even got the guy who acted as the Doc from the film, Christopher Lloyd!

So they even got all the big stars including Tony Hawk to try out the hoverboard. If you do look closely, doesn’t the HUVr logo look awfully similar to the logo of Back To The Future? The tilted angle, the font.

All I could say is that they really did a good job on the video, convincing the people that the hoverboard is now a non-fiction, but sadly  even the HUVr website is a fake.

To break it down, the DeLorean and Christopher Lloyd already hints something is quite off, albeit that it might be a tribute to the film Back To The Future since they did introduce the hoverboard idea first. Secondly, skateboarder Tony Hawk is there, which is relatable since the hoverboard is practically a skateboard after all. Then there was Billy Zane, the bully in the BTTF film.

Though It’d like to believe that the hoverboard is real, but TechCrunch here pointed out that it might be a teaser for Back To The Future 4, which really does makes sense since they have the main characters from the film featured in this video. I guess we can only wait to tell if this is real or not.

I gotta say, to create something like this since its beginning as a summer project in 2010 is too good to be true.
