Aside from ChatGPT, Infinix has announced they are adding the controversial yet powerful DeepSeek-R1 access to its line of smartphones.
Infinix smartphones running and later can access its features through an upgrade, while the upcoming NOTE series, launching in March, will come with DeepSeek-R1 pre-installed. Users can easily call up the Folax assistant and then utilize voice or text to ask and inquire about anything.
With Deep Thinking Mode, one can even clearly view the thinking process and logic behind the model’s intention of chain of thoughts, allowing users to find out more about the LLM.
The move aligns with Infinix’s “Infinix AI∞ Beta plan” which is a first-ever vertical-format AI Spring Launch Event in late March. The event, centered around Infinix AI∞ Lab, will introduce a comprehensive AI ecosystem encompassing gaming, daily life, AI smartphones, and AIoT devices.
