The new iQOO Z9 in Titanium is gorgeous yet powerful

Many people play games on their phones nowadays – and I am one of them too. We all have (at least) one phone in our pockets nowadays and these gadgets can do a lot. Yet this iQOO Z9 can provide an amazing gaming experience without breaking the bank – and it is available in this new Titanium color too.

This new Titanium color was only announced recently and I think iQOO managed to make it look so unique that I involuntarily said “wow” when I looked at it. They managed to make it clean, simple, yet unique.

The first thing that came into my mind is how good it looks. The titanium color is slightly brown here and it is not overdone. iQOO also added this one curve on the back that makes light reflect off of it in a circular manner. I think this simple touch really adds a lot to the aesthetics. This design isn’t available on the other colors of the iQOO Z9, and that’s what makes this Titanium color so unique.

This phone not only looks good, but also performs really well. It is equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and our up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB of storage. We tried the usual Genshin Impact and it actually can get around 40-50fps at the medium graphical preset depending on what we’re doing in the game. And yet the phone doesn’t get hot to the touch or thermal throttle.

That is thanks to the humongous 6043mm² vapor chamber, it can dissipate heat out of the chipset effectively and keep it cool, so that we can get the best sustained performance possible from it. Remember – benchmark scores are short bursts of performance but it is difficult to maintain that level over a long period of time.

By the way, the iQOO Z9 has a feature that adds 4D vibration to some of the games that does not have vibration originally. Case in point – Genshin Impact. We can select what should vibrate and I just enabled everything. The experience is just great.

If you are worried about the battery, then don’t be. The iQOO Z9 comes with a 6,000mAh that actually can last for up to nearly 23 hours and 24 minutes in our standardized battery life test by running PCMark 10 battery life test at 100 nits brightness. I think so far, this is the best battery life that we’ve gotten out of any smartphone so far.
