Constellar has announced that Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC (ITAP) 2024 will take place at Singapore EXPO in the third week of October.
As a HANNOVER MESSE event, ITAP is designed to bring the world’s largest industrial fair to Southeast Asia, adapting it to a more region-specific context. This year’s focus is on exploring how AI can enhance diverse manufacturing sectors at various stages, driving faster and more sustainable business growth while supporting ESG goals.
The event in Singapore is strongly supported by a variety of government bodies and partners, including Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Economic Development Board (EDB), Enterprise Singapore (ESG), JTC Corporation (JTC), SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), as well as global industry leaders and key players in the region’s business ecosystem.
For Malaysia, the event aligns with the Malaysia AI Roadmap 2021-2025. Recently, the country launched the Malaysia Artificial Intelligence Consortium (MAIC) and the AI Talent Roadmap for Malaysia 2024–2030 under the Malaysia Artificial Intelligence Nexus 2024 (MY AI NEXUS) program.
Malaysia’s New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030 aims to transform 3,000 smart factories by 2030 using AI, boosting high-value sectors such as Electrical & Electronics, Specialty Chemicals, Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, and Medical Devices. The GDP for manufacturing is projected to grow by 61%, from US$80 billion (RM364.9 billion) in 2022 to US$129 billion (RM587.5 billion) by 2030.
By supporting ITAP 2024, the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) aims to provide local players with access to cutting-edge technologies, applications, and digital initiatives.
This year’s ITAP 2024 theme centers around three key trends: ‘Digitalize with Secure Intelligent Operations,’ ‘Align Sustainable Manufacturing Practices,’ and ‘Build Antifragile Supply Chains.’
A key highlight will be the official launch of a groundbreaking whitepaper titled ‘Regenerative Manufacturing – Unlocking ASEAN’s Growth through Design and AI,’ developed in collaboration with global management consultancy Kearney. The whitepaper outlines practical approaches and solutions for achieving a balance of profit, sustainability, and resiliency to reshape the manufacturing sector and broader ecosystem.
Attendees can also explore the Industrial Transformation Forum, InnoX Stage, and Industrial Innovation Stage, along with Experience Zones showcasing the latest innovations in Sustainable Manufacturing, AI & Data Analytics, Industrial Robotics & Automation, and Additive Manufacturing.
Additionally, ITAP 2024 will feature standard networking zones, product showcases, keynote sessions, and panel discussions typical of any industrial fair.
