Video conferencing is basically the new normal in recent years and Jabra has introduced 2 new PanaCast webcams dedicated to business users with their wide range of smart features and great video footage quality.
Touted as the “director” of meetings, the video bar PanaCast 50 takes intelligent focus to the next level by smartly analyzing the audio source of the speaker and automatically pans the frame while adjusting focus levels on the fly to make sure everyone gets their spotlight when presenting. The triple 13MP lenses work together to provide 180-degree panoramic footage and special dual-footage mode can be enabled to give viewers both the presenter and whiteboard view for a seamless viewing experience.
Another quirky feature to talk about is the PeopleCount function where the PanaCast 50 is capable of doing headcounts for you within a room or hall simply giving a predetermined number where the device will even put out a mild alarm if overcapacity has occurred. From the shape of the device, you might also identify it as a speaker-equipped unit and indeed it is, tuned by Jabra’s years of expertise in the audio market.
On the other hand, the PanaCast 20 takes on a much simpler role as a “1-to-1 cameraman” rather than the “director” in a compact package. The embedded AI algorithm allows it to provide smart functions such as intelligent zoom and brightness balancing without any help from any online service or cloud processing so that it even works even in offline scenarios. Delivering crisp 4K HDR footage with an easy setup process, there is also a lens cover for protecting your privacy properly.
Pricing and Availability
The Jabra Paracast 50 bears a high price tag of RM6,500 due to its sheer size and additional smart functions while the much smaller Paracast 20 is priced at RM1,500 which is more suitable for personal use on a smaller scale of things. Both devices are available for purchase starting right now on major e-commerce sites and from authorized dealers.
