Kingston’s new product release at CES 2023 isn’t the flashiest among others but they are tackling the growing pains of data being misappropriated by malicious actors in cyberattacks with the new IronKey Vault Privacy 50C.
As it reminds me of the key to the most protected secrets in the world portrayed by movies, IronKey Vault Privacy 50C is a USB-C flash drive created to safeguard the data of its users against multiple forms of exploits including BadUSB and the good old tried-and-true brute force attacks thanks to the highly complex XTS-AES 256-bit hardware encryption. The included protection earned itself the FIPS 19 Certified stamp by the way.
The Multi-Password Option provides yet another layer of defense but keeps the customization aspect to a certain degree as one can pick from either a numeric PIN, sentences with space characters, or a list of words that only makes sense or has context to the owner.
