Kingston has announced the DataTraveler 80 and DataTraveler 70 flash drives that come with a USB Type-C port aimed towards fitting the increasing needs of mainstreaming the port adopted by more devices such as Android devices, tablets, and laptops.
The DataTraveler 80 is designed more towards professional and industrial use. Featuring transfer speeds up to 200MB/s read and 60MB/s write, it is suitable to transfer files within a short notice. Encasing the hardware is a rugged casing with a cap for additional protection and the keyring hole allows it to be chained which is ideal for an on-the-go storage solution. Meanwhile, the DataTraveler 70 is almost similar to the DataTraveler 80, except the transfer speed is slightly lower and the color scheme is slightly different.
The DataTraveler 80 starts at RM53 while the DataTraveler 70 starts at RM30 and you can get them easily on Kingston’s Lazada and Shopee storefront. Apparently, there are some discounts going on as well so you can net some pretty sweet deals on these flash drives too.
