Kingston has recently announced the launching of two new items in its encrypted lineups: IronKey Vault Privacy 80 External SSD (VP80ES) and Vault Privacy 50 (VP50). In addition, they have also released the DataTraveler microDuo 3C (DTDUO3CG3) and DataTraveler Micro (DTMC3G2) USB Flash Drives.

The VP80ES is Kingston’s first external SSD with touchscreen and hardware encryption for data protection designed to help content creators and business users. It features an intuitive color touchscreen and FIPS 197 certified with XTS-AES 256-bit encryption, making it an excellent choice for preventing Brute Force attacks and BadUSB with digitally signed firmware.

Furthermore, it has a bunch of extra features for data safety, including a Multi-Password (Admin/User) Option with PIN/Passphrase modes, Configurable Password Rules, etc. To provide added security, VP80ES’ Brute Force attack protection crypto-erases the drive if the Admin and User passwords are input incorrectly 15 times in a row by default.

The VP80ES has a storage capacity of up to 1,920GB and comes with a neoprene travel case and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 adaptor cables for connecting to USB Type-C or Type-A supporting computers and other devices.

For users who want a smaller form factor design with great portability and nearly the same capability as the VP80ES, the VP50 USB Drive has them covered as well. It comes with up to 256GB capacity, FIPS 197 certification, as well as AES 256-bit hardware encryption in XTS mode for data security.

Moving on to the DTDUO3CG3, it offers a dual interface that works with both newer USB Type-C and classic USB Type-A ports. While providing up to 256GB of extra storage, it also delivers USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds of up to 200MB/s read, making it an ideal portable companion for on-the-go business, travel, or simply documenting the moments.

On the other hand, DTMC3G2 is an ultra-small and lightweight USB drive designed for easy plug-and-play compatibility with computers, printers, gaming consoles, and many more. It also offers USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds of up to 200MB/s read and capacities of up to 256GB to enable quick data transfer and storing of large files.
