Lazada Malaysia has managed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Malaysian Pharmacists Society in order to enable vendors of the health and pharmaceutical sector to operate digitally as well as in a physical lot.
Took place during an official ceremony held on May 25, the multi-year e-commerce experience on top of the surge of online shopping during the COVID-19 pandemic period has shown that buyers often look towards any sign of official recognition/badges/ certificates in order to identify the authenticity of the products they are going to buy.
Although the phenomenon can be found in literally any category of offerings, it is especially valuable in the health and pharmaceutical market since it directly involves physical well-being and it is no joke if anything involving placebos and counterfeiting is found.
So, in order to give customers more confidence to shop for these products on Lazada, the platform will now start marking online pharmacies with the ‘MPS Verified Certification’ badge. By doing this, the overall awareness of shopping for genuine products can be raised while general sales figures can be increased indirectly as well.
Well, I definitely appreciate the certification so that the pills and supplements I take daily are coming from verified merchants.
